In engineering many machines are computer-controlled. computer-controlled machines can be so complex that the traditional design methods no longer satisfy. This is caused by traditional design methods which make a separation between the mechanical design part and the design of control loops. That is why there is no synergy between both design parts, resulting in an underperforming prototype or a prototype which does not work.
A modern design method which tries to overcome these disadvantages is "model Based design". The aim of this method is to prevent precious redesigns by testing as much as possible on models of the future machine before the actual prototype is built. This enables a successful prototype to be build at one stroke.
Controllab has the expertise to introduce model based design in your company. We can can help with:
- Initial Design: working out candidates and make objective choices
- Modeling and Simulation
- Controller Design
- Measurement and Analysis
- Prototype Design
- Rapid Prototyping
