According to Professor Job van Amerongen of the University of Twente “mechatronic design requires that a mechanical system and its control system be designed as an integrated system. In order to make proper choices early in the design stage, tools are required that support modeling and simulation of physical systems (together with controllers) with parameters that are directly related to the real-world system. The 20-sim software is such a tool. Components in various physical domains (e.g. mechanical or electrical) can easily be selected from a library. The components can be combined with block-diagram-based (digital) controllers”.
Controllab not only provides software for mechatronic design, it also provides services. If you have a problem or question that relates to mechatronic design, but do not have the engineers or time to solve this, we can help:
- Mechatronic design
- Measurements on prototypes and existing systems
- Validation of designs
- Virtual prototyping
- Rapid prototyping
