At Controllab, we create digital twins — high-fidelity simulation models that accurately predict how new machines will behave in the real world. These twins are used by the top performers in the offshore wind industry including DEME, Van Oord and Boskalis.

To give a good insight into the capabilities of these twins, we have written a technical paper. This paper describes the development and application of a crane vessel digital twin. The twin includes the vessel motion, dynamic positioning (DP), ballasting, crane operation and the lifting of a pre-piling template onto the seabed.
